It is the responsibility of the South Downs National Park Authority who delegate decision making to Chichester District&nbsp;Council.<br>As a Parish Council, we are advised about every new planning application within the Parish and are asked to comment on it in the same way that a neighbour would. We discuss planning applications at full council meetings or at a specific planning meeting.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.duncton.org\/meetings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Click here<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>for dates of when we meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Village Design Statement (VDS) &#8211; does Duncton need one?<\/strong><br>In September 2017, the Parish Council decided not to help put together a VDS as it was felt the existing planning policies offered Duncton sufficient protection, plus the fact that the Parish has a zero housing allocation and there was little if no appetite within the village to help put the VDS together.
