VILLAGE DEFIBRILLATORS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are defibrillator at the Village Hall and in the bus stop on the Willett Close side of the main road. Both these units are monitored and maintained by the Parish Council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To access them please call 999 and ask for the ambulance service who will be able to give you access. If you do use either defibrillator please urgently call Andrew Mills on 07476 955 885 so that we can have it put back in service as quickly as possible so that it is available for use in any subsequent emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queens Jubilee Orchard<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Queens Jubilee Orchard was planted in February 2022 on land to the south-east of the village hall. It was funded by Duncton Parish Council with support from Queens Platinum Jubilee Funds. Please click on the link above for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Village Videos<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection of videos is a record of important places in Duncton’s history. They describe separate activities in the history of the village, for example churches, schools and flour mills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection begins with views of the sites where the first settlers may have arrived and continues to illuminate other unique areas as they exist today. The collection is not, and is not meant to be, a detailed historical record, rather a framework from which deeper study can be planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection can also be used to plan interaction between people and sites which still contain objects or buildings of historic interest, for example, St Mary’s churchyard, the flour mills at Duncton and Burton Mill ponds and Duncton’s First National School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, a brief survey is shown of the main water courses that, over the centuries, have kept the village people and its industries together with a pure and limitless supply of spring water from aquifers within the Downs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heath End Sandpit and Liaison Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heath End Sand Pit is located next to Chandlers Building Merchants on the A285 and the Heath End Liaison Committee (HELC) represents the Parishes of Duncton, East Lavington and Graffham.
There has been concern in recent years as to the operation of the Heath End Pit and delivery of the planned restoration works once the pit closes in 2020. Village Leaflet<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holy Trinity Church in Duncton have produced a village leaflet which is packed with details of our churches, pub, school, parish council, fishery, village hall and croquet club. It also includes useful information on the local bus, last post, and our facebook page<\/a>. On the back, a map shows the location of all the services, plus details of our nearest shop, surgery, hospital, district council, newspaper delivery and taxi companies. 
The leaflet and map can be downloaded below and hard copies of the leaflet are available in the following places: Cricketers Pub, Holy Trinity Church, Catholic Church, Duncton School, Duncton Village Hall and Ted\u2019s @ Heath End.
